She was able to go offantibiotics for acne and this has helped her diarrhea and nausea
even further.

Viral herbs; Nasal rinse; Dietary counseling (and hypnotherapy referral); Regular walking
for cholesterol and blood sugar support
Observation of changes after usage of Theralac® and how long before
positive changes occurred:
A difficult case to manage due to bipolar and at times is in and out of psych ward, but
mostly she is compliant on supplements and feels better on them. About a year ago she
did have a bout of constipation (a change from her diarrhea) and getting back on regular
doses of Theralac® and fiber helps regulate her. Often I feel we are managing side effects
of her strong meds and many changes (was on Depacote for a while too).
She will continually need naturopathic support on the supplement and lifestyle coaching
listed above. At our last visit, November 2008 she was overall doing well and fairly stable
on all levels.

(gymnema, banaba, ginsing bid); reading on thyroid and diet information
Observations of changes after usage of Theralac® and how long before
positive changes occurred: Patient states “It is the only thing that keeps me regular”.
Comments and Assessment: Patient does very well on Theralac® for bowel regularity
and management of yeast symptoms (brain fog, rashes). We have not had updated blood
sugar or thyroid tests but I don’t expect Theralac® would have changed them that much.
Case # 7
Patient: C. C.
Age: 27 year old female
Patient Medical History and Chief Complaints: Fatigue; Acne; Constipation;
Gas and bloating; Mild anxiety and depression (post partum)
Medications Including Dosages: Azelaic Acid topical for acne prn

off (herbal or mediclear); Vitamin B12 2000 mcg, liquid B 1 tsp bid (B 100 mg)
Theralac® Dosage: 4/week and at times one daily
Length of Time on Theralac®: 1 year
Therapy of Chief Complaint: She was nursing so we were limited on herbs to use
for fatigue- used B vitamins, D and calcium and magnesium. Then we added Theralac®
for a few months later into the treatment plan (she was on Primodophilus on her own).
Observation of changes after usage of Theralac® and how long
before positive changes: Acne continues- mostly hormonal, liver and diet related.
Better when we work on these consistently. When we added Theralac® it helped her
constipation, gas and bloating. Bowel movement one per day now, not every two to
three days as it was before.
Case # 8
Patient: R. C.
Age: 54 year old female
Patient Medical History and Chief Complaint: Constipation and bloating began
4 years ago with the onset of peri-menopause; Sensitivity to supplements; Rosacea;
Canker sores

& mineral tid

Length of Time on Theralac®: Began 7-10-08
Therapy of Chief Complaint: Triphala one teaspoon at bedtime switch to Blue
Heron 2 bid (previously on enzymes HCl and magnesium)
Observation of changes after usage of Theralac® and how long
before positive changes: Patient has been seeing a nutritionist and was on
enzymes and HCl but still continued to be bloated and constipated. She was also on
a different probiotic called Fortify.
I added Blue Heron capsules. Not much change until we added Theralac®
(and discontinued the Fortify) – now she is much better. No more bloating, nor
odorous gas, and has bowel movement one per day with little to no straining. I gave
her a sample of TruFiber™ to try in case she needs it. No word yet if she has needed it.
