How Much is Too Much?

A question frequently asked by my esteemed
customers is some variation of "Can I
continue to take
Theralac on a daily basis, or do I need
to stick to the standard dose program (1/day
for 2 weeks and 2/week thereafter)" or
"Is it harmful to take Theralac once a day
after the two week period"? My answer is a
resounding yes and no respectively.
When a
customer calls me about dosing, I like to
listen to why they are taking the product,
then try to tailor fit their program
accordingly. I explain that the standard
program was designed for individuals who are
taking Theralac for general digestive and
health support. We have many customers who
have had success taking one or even two Theralac on a daily
basis to manage their digestive issues.
Although
possible, it would be very difficult to
overdose by taking too much Theralac. The
biggest indicator would be a much looser
stool. (You might be aware from my previous
newsletter article, many of my chronically
constipated customers would appreciate this
side effect.)
I also like
to ask my customers to call me back within a
certain time period (i.e. 30 days after
starting their program) so we can discuss
the possibility of tapering back on the
product and provide me with feedback about
their success with
Theralac.
As unusual as it sounds for a company,
our goal is to get you to take the lowest
optimally-effective dose. For some
people, this is 1 a day, for some it's every
other day or 2 a week.
