Enzymes - Vital to Life

In addition to breaking down foods such as fats, proteins, sugars and fiber, supplemental enzymes promote systemic health. For example: the enzyme Bromelain works in our digestive system to break down proteins, but it also serves other vital functions like reducing swelling and boosting immunity.

This is true of many digestive enzymes. Here are the some of the digestive and systemic benefits of the enzymes often found in enzyme supplements such as Enzalase:

Alpha-Galactosidase:

  • Prevents gas and other gastrointestinal symptoms that occur after eating high-fiber foods such as beans, grains, and other vegetables

Bromelain:

  • Fights inflammation and reduces swelling caused by injuries and surgeries

  • Breaks down protein

  • Used to treat conditions such as cellulitis, epididymitis, diabetic ulcers and other inflammatory conditions

  • Speeds recovery from traumatic injuries, surgeries, childbirth, broken bones and lacerations

  • Improves respiratory ailments like sinusitis, bronchitis, pharyngitis, and pneumonia

  • Boosts immunity

  • Helps fight cancer, cardiovascular problems and intestinal bacterial infections

  • Topically treats skin conditions such as infections and burns

Lactase:

  • Breaks down milk sugar which causes discomfort in lactose intolerant individuals

Lipase:

  • Breaks down lipids and aids fat utilization in the body making for faster, more complete fat digestion

  • High lipase compliments systemic action of the three protease enzymes in Enzalase

Papain:

  • Helps with chronic diarrhea and celiac disease

  • Treats gastrointestinal discomfort discomfort due to intestinal parasites

  • Fights allergies, infection and inflammation

  • Treats soft tissue injuries, strains, sprains, hematomas, acute athletic injuries, charley horse, and pulled muscles

  • Used in surgeries to reduce inflammation, pain and swelling

  • Treat's infected wounds, sores, ulcers and tumors

  • Used to treat inflammation caused by stings of insects and jellyfish

  • Used in ophthalmology to prevent corneal scar malformation

  • Used to speed healing

Enzymes have been called "The Spark of Life" because without them, all the healthy foods, exercise and clean living in the world would do nothing. Plant or animal, every living thing requires enzymes for life.

They make plants grow, flowers bloom, and fruit ripen and they allow us to break down food, use it as energy, and our cells to grow and heal. Without them, life as we know it could not exist.

Why We All Lack Enzymes & It's Not Our Fault

The enzymes we need to function every day are found primarily in the foods we eat - at least they used to be - well they still are - sort of. Here's the problem...

The raw forms of the foods we eat are rich in the enzymes which allow us to break down and extract the energy from those foods. The problem is, we don't eat very many raw foods. Once upon a time not that long ago, humans much like the rest of the animal kingdom, consumed foods raw. Thousands of years ago, our ancestors ate raw meats, vegetables and fruits to stay alive. Those raw foods were enzyme rich and aided digestion. These days, the only raw foods we eat are fruits and vegetables, and not nearly as much as we should.

Studies show that only 10 percent of Americans eat the recommended amount of fruits and/or vegetables per day. - ONLY  10 percent! 50 percent of Americans eat NO VEGETABLES AT ALL!

Now, here's the even sadder part - even those who do eat enough fruits and vegetables are getting very little enzymes from those foods. The reason is this: enzymes are killed by many of the processes that surround our farming, processing and meal preparation habits. Pesticides and herbicides are harmful to the natural enzymes in foods. Foods are irradiated (bombarded with x-rays to kill pests, bad bacteria, or other potentially harmful organisms hitchhiking along) which is also destructive to the natural enzymes.

Processing often kills off enzymes. When foods are frozen or cooked the temperatures are often high or low enough to kill natural enzymes. So flash freezing, cooking, canning, jarring, and refrigerating foods all impacts the enzymes that reach our digestive systems. And even foods that are fresh and aren't irradiated can suffer enzyme loss if they are stored for too long.

Growing your own foods and consuming them quickly is one way of getting some of the enzymes you need every day, but what about those who can't plant a garden? And what about the enzymes that we get primarily from meats? Everyone knows it's not a good idea to sit down to a dinner of raw chicken or fresh ground, uncooked pork. And if you're like me, you probably prefer your broccoli or brussel sprouts to be at least steamed, if not cooked and covered in butter.

According to Dr. Anthony J. Cichoke in his book "The Complete Book of Enzyme Therapy", augmenting your diet with enzyme supplements may be the only answer.

Fortunately, many of the enzymes that are derived from animals do have alternate plant sources. This allows them to be easily isolated, harvested and combined with other enzymes found in plants. They can then be processed into comprehensive, commercially available enzyme supplements. These supplements are by far the best way to get the much needed enzymes we need when the foods we eat simply cannot provide them.

What Can Green Do For You?

If you look at the picture below, you'll notice TruFiber is the one in the green bottle. Each bottle of TruFiber contains 50 servings so it's economical. Each serving contains over 14% of the recommended daily amount of fiber in a blend of SunFiber and Inulin. This means that it provides an immediate source of food for probiotic bacteria so that it goes to work fast to restore regularity.

It doesn't taste like anything, it doesn't clump and there is no grit, so when you put it into a beverage it disappears and you don't know it's there. That makes for a much better supplemental fiber experience.

It also has a strong dose of fiber digesting enzymes in each scoop. This means it works hand-in-hand with Enzalase to aid in complete digestion. Add in that it fuels probiotics and you get a digestive system tri-fecta. If you are in a position where you need a supplemental fiber boost and are looking for a premium product at an affordable price, maybe it's time to look at TruFiber.

And for the month of August, we're going to make it even easier to try. Buy both TruFiber and Enzalase and we'll give you $10.00 off AND, we'll pick up the shipping. Give it 60 days to see what Green can do for you (along with the Enzalase). If it isn't what you're after all you have to do is ask for a refund. See Below.
